Two rounds are in the books on the Canadian National Motocross Series and two riders are representing the Northeast region of the United States. With the two rounds starting out at the Whispering Pines Raceway in Kamloops, British Columbia and Castrol Raceway in Edmonton, Alberta (all located in western Canada), it’s safe to say that New York’s Bobby Kiniry and Pennsylvania’s Kyle Sidle drove the most miles to be there and follow the series. Kiniry has the great support from the Monster Energy/Cernic’s/Kawasaki to be at the Canadian rounds but Sidle is going full privateer mode in their fifth wheel and plans to do as many rounds as possible with their self-help through Lebanon Valley Cycles located in Jonestown, PA.
Bobby Kiniry is running top five in the MX1 class at the past 2 rounds with a 4-3 finish in Kamloops for 3rd overall and a solid 2-2 finish for 2nd overall behind fast Canadian Colton Facciotti, who your defending MX1 champion outdoors. Throw in names like Dusty Klatt, Josh Demuth, Kyle Keast, and others, it’s going to be an interesting series up north. Kiniry is coming off a 3rd place overall finish in the 2009 MX1 Championship in Canada.
Pennsylvania native and Lebanon Valley Cycles’ own Kyle Sidle has been putting in solid results at the first 2 rounds of the Canadian National Motocross series. Sidle is also competing in the MX1 class and with 2 rounds down, Sidle finished 19th overall at the opening round at Kamloops and just this past weekend in Edmonton, Sidle improved to a 14th overall finish and seems to be on the right road in Canada.

One of Maryland’s top 85cc riders, Tyler Kirschner, had a nasty crash last weekend at the MAMA race at Tomahawk MX Park. He was running in the lead just ahead of Jake Runkles in the 2nd Supermini moto before he swapped the bike coming out of one corner landing hard on the ground head first. There was a lot of buzz in the pits afterwards and everyone hoping Tyler was OK after that crash.
Right away, RNB Racing’s Rusty Bradford (one of Tyler’s main sponsors) made a post on the MAMA board last night:
“GOOD TO GO!!!!!!!!! Doc cleared him solid as a rock. Not even a concussion…GLAD your okay LIL DONK!!!”
Then, this morning, Tyler Kirschner posted an update on his Facebook:
“Got knocked out yesterday but I’m fine just a little shaken up but I can start tiding whenever I want so maybe this week thanks everyone for checking on me”
