Welcome to this 2 week catching up edition of Woz Up coming to you from a Panera bread outside Millville. I totally dropped the ball last week as I, honestly, completely forgot to “Woz It Up” last Friday. A LOT has been happening as I have tackled the roads of America once again traveling to the Red Bud and Spring Creek pro nationals. Let’s see what’s been up the past 2 weeks!
It’s The Barcia/Wozney Show Once Again!
Before I jetted off to Red Bud/Millville, I made a stop at Justin Barcia’s compound to do an update video from 2010 of Justin along with my brother (and one of Justin’s good friends), Tyler Wozney. If you haven’t checked out the video, click away below:
The video has grossed over 50,000 views so far and it’s climbing every day. I want to thank Justin and the Barcia family for the invite for the week. It was a great time and can’t wait to go back soon!
I also want to thank Thousand Foot Krutch for allowing me to use their song “I Get Wicked” in this video. The song worked really well with the video and I’m glad to be using their amazing work. Go check them out on iTunes and get their latest album “The End Is Where We Begin”.
Along with the music video, I put together a neat helmet cam compilation together featuring Justin Barcia, his trainer Jeff Stanton, Tyler Wozney, and Anthony Zuber attacking the woods of Florida. Check it out below:
REDDDDD BULLLLLLL (I mean BUDDDDDDD)
After I got back from Barcia’s compound, I was back on the road once again and this time, it was to tackle the Midwest region to cover the Red Bud and Spring Creek pro nationals. But I wasn’t going solo this time as I had up and coming photohound Matt Rice along with me for the ride to provide photo coverage of these 2 nationals. It’s been a killer trip so far.
Red Bud was a hot one for sure and another great July 4th weekend national on Red Bud’s famed “Amercia’s Motocross Track”. It was a true party all weekend for the fans as Matt squared got to work from Thursday’s press day onto the final WMX moto on Saturday.
Ricky Renner qualified for the Red Bud pro national aboard his Yamaha YZ125! Check out Ricky during his 2nd moto in this short Raw video I threw together:

Matt Rice also snapped some cool pics from press day. Check them out below:

Right after Red Bud, we headed a few hours south toward Rantoul, Illinois to stay at Midwest Tour producer Ben Lynn’s house for a couple of days to get to work on our Red Bud pics and vids. A lot got done and even threw in a day of driving golf balls (and trying to hit the power lines) and attack the bowling lanes (with both of us pretty darn rusty). It was a fun time but it was off to Millville!
But before we arrived in a state of thousands of lakes, we made a stop at the Sunset Ridge MX Park for an open practice that featured both home track natives and Northeast privateers. Check out Rice’s photo gallery at the image below and the music video I threw together:
Over The Creek And Through The Woods…..
We made to Millville Wednesday night and got to press day nice and early on Thursday around noon. Check out the press day photos from Matt Rice at the image below:
Fresh from the YouTube press, here’s the press day video from Spring Creek:
Now, we are camped in Rochester, Minnesota and after some brief morning showers, the Spring Creek track has some water to deal with. Yesterday’s press day was pretty much on the dusty side as the Martin family and crew seemed to be ahead of the curve with the impending weather ahead. It might be a little wet starting off in the morning qualifiers at Spring Creek but the track has sand littered all over the course which should soak up much of that water and provide a prime track for the motos on Saturday.
Content From The Past TWO Weeks
Let’s check out some cool content posted on MXPTV the past 2 weeks:
I did a cool trivia contest between Rockstar Suzuki’s Jason Anderson and Martin Davalos for Alli Sports back at Freestone. Check out to see who tops who below:
I followed around Red Bull/KTM’s Ken Roczen at the Budds Creek pro national round. Check out to see what I got from the weekend:
I have also been contributing to Alli Sports’ Young Guns web series featuring the GEICO Honda and Red Bull/KTM teams. Here’s a look at the GEICO Honda team from Budds Creek:
MXPTV intern Jake Buly sent over some cool shots from Pagoda’s race last weekend. Check them out at the image below:
That’s about it! It’s been a crazy, busy summer with a ton going on! Thanks for reading and catch ya at the fences!
