MXPTV has learned recently that Geico Powersports/Honda rider Justin Barcia was asked to leave the Millsaps Training Facility, which has been his home place to ride and train for the past 5 years ever since Justin was on a KTM 85s. Justin was welcomed to MTF with open arms when he was a young, quick amateur making ground and brewing his quick speed and style. But due to a recent podium interview after his 2nd moto at Spring Creek last weekend, Justin has been asked to leave the facility and no longer ride/train there again. Justin mentioned Gary Bailey on podium, who also has worked with Justin in the past, and thought nothing of it while saying that on the podium to just thank a past trainer/mentor for his success. Justin was asked the next day when he came to the facility to clean out his locker and get out. Many fans and people in the industry know that Justin has thanked MTF many, many times for his success. But according to Justin’s mother, Lorraine, the move was surprising.
Over the phone, Lorraine mentioned that the move was surprising but they are taking it very easily as they see this is a refresher for Justin and a different direction than they had been taking the past 5 years. ”Justin is fine about all of this. We are riding at GPF at times and also at the local tracks around here so he can keep riding.”, stated Lorraine. ”We’ll have to pay the $30-$35 to ride but at least he’s riding.” Could there have been some jealousy and backdoor action happening recently behind Justin riding and training at the facility? We may never know.
If the Barcia’s can’t find a stable place to train and ride in time for supercross season, Lorraine mentioned that they will have to live in California and ride at Honda’s test track and maybe some others in the area to get Justin ready for the indoors. But overall, the Barcia’s are still riding and training….just not at their usual spot.

Not sure what to think about MTF Ive heard Mrs Milsaps can be pretty militant, I guess there are 2 sides to every story but judging from the info here Id have say MTF could have been more professional about it and split as friends instead of burning bridges. The Barcias will be fine I’m sure they can afford the 30-35 dollars to ride, even the Alesis had to work to get ride time at Spring Creek when he made his pro debut. Shred!
