Welcome to Woz Up! First off, thanks to Christian over at ChronicMX.com for sending over the above photo from Club MX last weekend. Christian has a cool thing going on at Chronic MX not just for media sake but also for a good cause. Check them out!
Last weekend, MXPTV photog Matt Rice and myself went down to the Club MX training facility for their 2nd annual Open House in Chesterfield, South Carolina. I have been to Club MX a couple of times before since they opened in 2010 and it’s one of my favorite places to shoot. For the open house, Club MX showed off their best as they had their main motocross track prepped to perfection as well as its supercross track for the top pros. There wasn’t any pro action on its SX track but otherwise, its always a sight to see a freshly prepped SX test track.
The only action the SX track had was a fun pit bike race held Saturday afternoon after the main motocross track closed up for the day. The only track not prepped was its insane back sand track, that can easily called one of the roughest sand tracks in the country. The back sand track is rarely prepped. The holes are deep and the whoops are high and go forever. It’s amazing to see riders from new to experienced tackle this track and see the vast differences between the 2. The surrounding scenery and sand flying everywhere always gets me in the mood to film dirt bikes for sure! Overall, if you ever see Club MX have an open practice day at its facility, make sure you take advantage of it. The facility is top notch and one of the true, fun, challenging motocross tracks east of the Mississippi.
MXPTV was in full force all weekend long providing amazing images and videos from the open house. Check them out below:

There are more videos coming from Club MX that will be posted on Alli Sports and Hookit down the road. When those get posted, I’ll get them linked up here on MXPTV.

Check out this week’s Thursday Throwback video feature from a video I did back in 2007 at Tomahawk’s Loretta Lynn area qualifier. Lots of top names from the amateur ranks featured in this one. Check it out below:
The Monster Energy Cup is going down tomorrow night in Las Vegas. For the 2nd year in a row, Feld is putting on its big one-off race that will have a more star-studded lineup than last year’s Ryan Villopoto million dollar run. Ryan Dungey is back, as well as Ryan Villopoto in his first race back since his major knee injury back at the Seattle SX. Add in Chad Reed back from his injury, Justin Barcia debuting his new factory Honda 450 ride, Eli Tomac switching to 450s again, Blake Baggett showing off his new #4 ride, and the always fan favorite Kevin Windham, it’s going to be an action packed night in Sin City.
So, who do you think will win the Monster Energy Cup tomorrow night? Enter your guess HERE to get a chance at winning a MXPTV “Video. Photo. Moto.” t-shirt plus stickers! The first 3 correct guesses get MXPTV shirts and stickers!
There has been a lot of action on the silly season side of things as a bunch of riders got signed up with rides for 2013 and beyond. Lots of deals are getting all signed up just before tomorrow night’s Monster Energy Cup. Here’s a list of riders landing new rides this week:

If you follow me on Instagram (@MXPTV), I have posted a couple of images on some new equipment I got recently, specifically my switch to a Mac. It’s been a switch I’ve been back and forth with the past number of years. The cost is a huge hurdle but its what is needed for the work I have been doing. My biggest client is Alli Sports and from what it seems like, I tend to be the only one associated with them who’s doing work on a PC. So, for me, it would be good to talk the same “language”. After a week or so, I’m learning things there and there each day. It’s tough to break and change a 7 year old system of doing videos so it’ll take some time. I’m excited on the new challenge and in the end, it’s only going to be better and better in the video department at MXPTV.
Check out my latest video posted by Alli Sports as I talk it up with Star Racing/Yamaha’s Ryan Sipes:
Check out this video I did up for Cobra back at Loretta Lynn’s that was just posted this week on my YouTube channel. This video breaks down the nuts and bolts of Cobra’s new 2013 models:
This weekend, MXPTV will be equipped for a fun, sunshine filled time at the final MAMA race of the 2012 season at the Blue Diamond MX Park in New Castle, Delaware. We’ll be there covering the event with photos and videos from the weekend that will be posted early next week. There is a chance I’ll be showing some of MXPTV’s top videos Saturday night at the track but we’ll see how things go tomorrow. If you want to see videos at the track tomorrow night, just comment below and the more who want to see it, the better the chance it’ll happen!
Hope to see many at Blue Diamond this weekend to round out the 2012 MAMA season. I haven’t been to a MAMA race since the opening round at Budds Creek back in March, which in some way, the Sunday video I did from that race has generated over 100,000 views! So overall, I’m looking forward to see old friends and have a fun weekend at the track. See ya there!
Last video MXPTV did at a MAMA race, the video generated over 100,000 views! Check it out!
