Tuesday at the Winter National Olympics at the Gatorback Cycle Park in Gainesville, Florida was a continuation of the qualifiers for the Supercross portion of the program. Â All the main qualifiers ran today and the LCQs are currently being finished up. Â The mains should be starting shortly but only a few mains will go off today. Â As I am typing this report, the mains should be running right now which include the 250 A and B Stock, Supermini 1, and 85 (9-11) classes. Â With 39 total classes running, the motocross portion of the program should be starting around noon time tomorrow. Â As far as the weather today, the SX track had cloudy conditions all day long and the clouds got more dense just recently, which is starting to cause some light drizzling. Â As of now, the weather is predicting rain tonight and a 70% chance of showers all day tomorrow. Â So, we could be seeing some muddy mains to kick off the day tomorrow. Â The racing today saw some good battles are riders were either earning their gate pick or earning their way into the main. Â For today’s report, I am going to do this with photos more than text. Â More photos and results are below! Â So, enjoy and thanks for following MXPTV Live Updates from the Mini O’s!

Jon Ames gets the holeshot in division 3 of the 85cc (9-11) Modified class. Â Mark Worth (321) would take the win in the division with Ames 2nd, Kenny Wentworth 3rd, Jacob Williamson 4th, and Kyler West rounding out the top 5 in 5th.

Maryland’s Gauge Keith had a lead going in the 51 (4-6) Stock Oil Injected before he was left with a mechanical before the main tabletop. Â Massachusetts’ Justin Cokinos (444) would hold on for the qualifier win as many Cobras on the track were suffering problems with their bikes.

Red Bull/Suzuki rider Joey Savatgy had a great day grabbing qualifier wins in the Youth (12-16) Stock and Modified, Schoolboy (14-16), and 250 B Modified. Â Great starts is making his job much easier in SX today after a DNF in 250 B Stock yesterday.

Team Green Kawasaki’s Adam Cianciarulo played with the big boys in the Youth (12-16) Modified aboard his Supermini bike. Â Adam had a great start going but was later bunched up a couple turns after the start that even left him off the track in the front rhythm section. Â Adam regrouped and made a few passes to finish out in 5th in Division 2.

Triangle Cycles/Honda rider Kyle Peters came away with the Division 2 win in the Youth (12-16) Modified class. Â Kyle also won his 250 B Stock division yesterday and finished 3rd in Schoolboy (14-16) Division 2.

Suzuki rider Jesse Pierce had a horrible start in his 250 C Modified division but came through the pack to win his division. Â Jesse also finished 2nd in his 250 C Stock division yesterday.

The 250 A/Pro Am Modified class left the gate and one gate didn’t survive the drop.

Rockstar/Suzuki’s Ian Trettel is on fire early this week in the A classes. Â Trettel threw down 2 more moto wins in the Open A/Pro Am Stock and Modified classes and a 5th in 250 A/Pro Am Modified. Â With 3 out of 4 wins so far in the A classes before the mains get under way, Trettel seems to be the favorite. Â As long as he continues his great starts in the mains, there won’t be much stopping the 119 machine. Â (Unless Eli Tomac, who has been suffering really bad starts on his Honda in most of his motos, puts a challenge to Trettel in the mains.)

Factory Connection/Honda’s Eli Tomac is not showing the type of dominance we saw at Loretta Lynn’s this past August but mainly because this is his first big A race. Â Eli has not got his starts down it seems and has had to work his way through the pack like here battling with Kawasaki rider Paul Lamb in Open A/Pro Am Modified. Â The tight, one lined SX track is not helping Eli much at all. Â The only way to win the race, especially if everyone is doing the same sections and corners, is going to have to get to the first turn in front.

Suzuki rider Nick Desiderio held onto a great start to lead the early stages of the 1st division of Open B Modified. Â Rockstar/Suzuki rider Gannon Audette got around Desiderio pretty quick and Kawasaki rider Dylan Cox (120) gave him a run for 2nd, which he succeeded in doing, as Desiderio finished out 3rd.

Rockstar/Suzuki rider Gannon Audette had a strong ride in the 1st division of Open B Modified today at Gatorback. Â Gannon also has a Open B Stock division win, 2nd in a 250 B Modified division, 6th in a 250 B Stock division, and 7th in Four Stroke.

BSY Yamaha rider Tony Archer (625) gets a great start during Division 2 of Open B Modified. Â Archer would finish 2nd in this moto giving him a good gate pick for the main event. Â Archer also has a 3rd in 250 B Modified and a 4th in Schoolboy (14-16) to earn him good gate picks for the mains tomorrow.

Kawasaki rider AJ Catanzaro and Yamaha rider Cody Hammond battle it out in Division 2 of Open B Modified. Â Catanzaro came away with 3rd in this one but has a division win in the Open B Stock class, a 2nd in a 250 B Modified division, and a 5th in a 250 B Stock division. Â Hammond, for his division finishes, got a 4th in Open B Stock, a 7th in 250 B Modified, and a 9th in 250 B Stock.

Yamaha rider Grant Ransdell is using the two stroke power to his advantage in SX by earning himself a division win in Open B Modified. Â Ransdell has division win in 250 B Stock and a 2nd in a 250 B Modified division. Â Grant seems very comfortable on his Yamaha, despite that odd two stroke sound. Â He continues to be a favorite in the B classes this week at the Mini O’s.

Team Green Kawasaki’s Chase Bell has been undefeated the past 2 days in the 85 (9-11) Stock and Modified and 65 (10-11) Modified classes with dominating moto wins. Â The moto/qualifier wins determine gate picks but not overall wins. Â So, we’ll see if Chase can keep the streak going into the mains tomorrow where it counts!

The Four Stroke moto saw Pennsylvania’s Garret Toth and New Jersey/Georgia’s Nick Myers going 1-2 in their qualifying moto. Â In this photo, both riders are tripling in the middle of the front rhythm section, which has been only done by the top A riders so far this week. Â Not many (if any) did this triple yesterday due to the wet conditions so it was a cool site to see these riders throw down different lines like this during the day.

The 65cc (7-9) Modified class saw 3 divisions. Â Here in division 1, Kawasaki rider Tanner Stack grabbed the holeshot and checkers with KTM rider Challen Tennant (71) finish in 2nd. Â Brett Gourley and Jacob Beaudoin were your other division winners in 65cc (7-9) Modified.

The national track at Gatorback is ready to go for Wednesday! Â There are more riders planned to race motocross than supercross, which could make for some interesting racing from Wednesday on at the Mini O’s!
