The Thor Winter National Olympics presented by Pro Circuit continued on to its 3rd day of racing today but this one was a mudder for the most part. Â The Gatorback Cycle Park received some rain overnight and the track was left wet but the track crew did a great job working on the track right up until the 8am start of the 250 A/Pro Am Stock class. Â The first dozen mains saw a rutted up, tacky track with no rain falling. Â But the rain started to fall in strong periods for the rest of the mains. Â As more rain fell, the SX track became so beat up that it gave way to the incoming water coming down from the sky. Â The grass infields start to puddle up more and the track became more tacky in the loamy spots and slicker in the hard pack areas. Â The jumps were getting harder to do for all riders, which slowed down the lap times considerably by 20-30 seconds. Â Along with the rain, the weather conditions became colder, as well, and many riders and their families were sent back running back to their motor homes getting their hoodies and jackets to catch the rest of the mains. Â I took photos during the first half of the mains and video during the last half (which is when the rain came down by the bucket). Â Let’s check out who got themselves a Winter National Olympics Supercross championship at Gatorback!

The riders were treated with this large mud pile before they went to the gate.

The first Supercross main today was the 250 A/Pro Am Stock class. Â Cody Robbins (8) grabs the holeshot.

Lance Vincent (45) makes the move for the lead on Cody Robbins.

Ian Trettel (119) gets by Cody Robbins for 2nd. Â Trettel finished out 4th in 250 A/Pro Am Stock.

Cody Robbins and Paul Lamb get together in the bowl turn before the triple/tabletop section.

Lance Vincent takes the first SX championship of the day in 250 A/Pro Am Stock by holding off a hard charging Ian Trettel, who had suffered a bad start.

250 B Stock was the next SX main to run and Kyle Goerke (89) got the holeshot but was passed by Kyle Peters (110) after 1 lap down. Â Kyle would go on to win the main.

Red Bull teammates Jesse Nelson and Joey Savatgy get together after battling for a top 5 position in 250 B Stock.

Kyle Goerke fell over in a bowl corner while running 2nd and was left with his hands up in the air in disbelief as Blake Dungey (354) and James Justice (behind Kyle) passed by. Â Dungey finished 2nd and Justice was 3rd at the checkers.

Cooper Webb (175) and Jace Owen (401) lead the start of the Supermini 1 main. Â Adam Cianciarulo and many others were involved in the massive first turn pileup. Â Jace Owen would get by Webb and hold him off for the championship.

Jesse Masterpool did not have the main he would have liked in Supermini 1 as Kawasaki rider Nick Gaines gets around just barely.

Brandon Gourley (41) leads Kyler West (823) after the 1st lap during the 85 (9-11) Stock main.

A 5 way battle started to ensue with Gourley in the lead, West 2nd, Chase Bell (235) 3rd, Ashton Hayes (left of Bell) 4th, and Kenny Wentworth (134) 5th.

Chase Bell had a nasty get off in the whoop section during the 85 (9-11) Stock main. Â Chase got up shortly after and finished the main in 21st.

Race leader Brandon Gourley didn’t have great luck in the whoops either as he ended up on the ground and finished out in 7th.

Georgia’s Kyler West was left with the lead and grabbed the SX championship in 85 (9-11) Stock.

Kasie Creson (333) holeshots and ends up the winner in the Women (12+) class. Â Serratia Gonzales came off a bad start to finish 2nd not too far behind Creson at the checkers. Â Leah Cantrell (322) finished 3rd in the Women SX main.

Jesse Pierce (489) gets a good start out of the gate in 250 C Stock but was 2nd out of the first turn. Â John Paul Tortorigi (22) took the holeshot and the main event win.

Jack Rogers (351) and the rest of the 51cc (7-8) class head down the start straightaway. Â The SX championship win went to Cobra’s Jordan Bailey.

Ian Trettel was dominant in the Open A/Pro Am classes taking home 2 SX main event wins in Stock and Modified. Â Ian also took a 2nd in 250 A/Pro Am Modified.

Iowa’s Gavin Faith has been extremely consistent this week so far at the Mini O’s. Â With a 2nd in Open A/Pro Am Stock and 3 3rd’s in Open A/Pro Am Modified and both 250 A/Pro Am Stock and Modified classes, Gavin’s chances at an olympiad win are looking good so far.

Maryand’s Gauge Keith was came out on top with the 51cc (4-6) main event win.

Heather Snyder (23) gets a great start and the holeshot in the Girls (9-15) main event. Â Heather would finish out 6th in the main.

Maryland’s Amanda Brown takes a look back on the final lap to check for the white flag. Â Amanda came away the winner at the checkers and her 1st Mini O’s SX championship.

Cooper Webb came out swinging in the 85 (12-13) Stock and Modified classes in SX with two championships. Â 85 (12-13) favorite Adam Cianciarulo had bad starts and a gnarly crash in the whoops that hurt his chances in both classes. Â When Webb and Cianciarulo were battling, Webb was able to keep pace with the young Team Green phenom.

Jake Pinhancos (101) and Chase Bell (235) run 1st and 2nd in the 65 (10-11) Stock class. Â Bell would get by Pinhancos to grab the main event win.

Kyle Peters (110) and Joey Savatgy (76) lead the Youth (12-16) Stock class down the start straight.

Brandon Wollenhaupt went down in the first turn that almost collected Joey Savatgy (76).

Joey Savatgy (76) leans back to grab the holeshot in Youth (12-16) Stock.

Joey Savatgy gets by Tyler McSwain (47) in the back rhythm section to take over the lead and the main event. Â This was the 1st of 3 SX championship wins on the day for Savatgy.
