PHOTO REPORT: Reddick Loretta Lynn Area Qualifier

Photo report by MXRanking.com's Billy Rainford For the third and final week, the MXRanking RV was parked at the MX of Marion County track in Reddick, Florida. The pits were the busiest I’ve seen them and the temperature was up in the 80’s both days. Lots of Loretta Lynn’s hopefuls were there trying to gain a spot in the next step toward a gate position in Tennessee this coming August. The next stop for the MXRanking.com RV is the Daytona SX, then the Spring Nationals at Mill Creek, followed by the Nationals at Oak Hill. Be sure to sign-up on the National Ranking System to find out where you—and everyone else--rank. They ran all the Stock classes on Saturday and then the Mod and age classes on Sunday. Here are some of the race finishes. You can check for full results on the MX Sports website. The action was tight in the 65cc classes. In the (7-11) Mod class, #524 Jake Beaudoin took both moto wins over #2 Enzo Lopez (2-3) and #30 Chase Fasnacht (4-2). The Women 14+ class was dominated by #16 Serratia Gonzalez followed by a see-saw battle between #17 Kelsey Morris (3-2) and #95 Brinsley Dyess (2-3). #133 Jordan Bailey didn’t have everything his way this past weekend, but it was close. He took the 85 (9-11) Stock class 1-1 Saturday but swapped moto wins with the ‘other #92,’ Enzo Lopez (1-2) in the Mod class on Sunday. Third in the Mod class went to #524 Jake Beaudoin (4-3). Editor's Note: MXPTV Midwest Tour rider Jayce Pennington (131) finished third in the 85 (9-11) Stock and fifth in 85 (9-11) Modified at Reddick. #92 Adam Cianciarulo raced the Schoolboy 1 (12-16) class on his Supermini bike. He got out behind #77 Paul Coates in the first moto but couldn’t make the pass. It’s rare to see ‘AC’ getting roosted so I jumped at the chance to take this shot. Cianciarulo went 2-1 for the win followed by Coates (1-2) and #67 Hector Rodriguez (6-4). Cianciarulo took the Supermini class win followed by a good battle between #641 Keith Tucker (2-2) and #124 Bradford Young (4-3). 250B Stock went to #251 Pup Whatley followed by #21 RJ Hampshire and #444 Caleb Tennant. #5 Robert Devonald-Batt (seen here chasing Whatley) fell and hurt his wrist but raced the rest of the weekend and took the College (17-24) class over Whatley and #593 Jeffrey Lewis. I usually have a strict ‘no heel-clicker’ policy, but since this is the best photo I got of Lewis and he won both the 450B Stock and Mod classes, it makes it in. Devonald-Batt finished second in both classes, Hampshire took third in the Stock, and #70 Sean Sattanno got third in the Mod class. The A classes were run on Saturday and #40 Zach Freeberg went 1-1 in the 250 class ahead of Robbie Marshall and #12 Justin Starling. Starling took both moto wins in the 450A class ahead of Marshall and #738 Brandon Westberry. Reigning Canadian 250 National Champ, #95 Tyler Medaglia, showed up on Sunday with his brother Jeremy--#3 in the same class—and led a good portion of the second Open Pro Sport moto. In the end, #4 Robbie Marshall, on a borrowed bike, took the class with 1-2 finishes followed by Freeberg (4-1) and Medaglia (2-3). See you at the races…
